Centre for Children Young People and Adult Education (CYDAD) as an inclusive society work harder to empower women and young girls, protection of children and support individuals with disabilities. Our programs aim to remove barriers to accessing education, health care and protecting children from exploitation and all forms of abuse. We advocate for human rights with focus to education and health. We aim at awareness creation at all level where everybody, regardless of ability can be part of community and enjoy the national cake.

The Tanzania Muti- Sectoral (ECD) programme 2022- 2026 have paved a way to guide us on improving our ECD interventions. We adhere to intragrated approach to health, nutrition, stimulation interventions in promoting positive outcome for early years of life throughout adulthood to crucial cognitive, social, emotional and physical development for preparing children and readiness for formal schooling.
Current we have 40 children of age 3 - 8 years who learn living skills such as washing hands, cleaning utensils and basic learning skills such as reading, writing and simple mathematics. We intent to incorporate vulnerable children with disabilities if we are supported to improve infrastructures and facilities. We take into consideration ALL children including those who fail to attend day care for various reasons such as deaths of parents and lack of support of parents or guardians.

Crucial to children cognitive, social, emotional and physical development by preparing and readiness for formal learning

Life and vocational skills will empower them to make life choices and become responsible adults. Life skills enable young people understand who they are, where they want to be and how to reach their destine. Different topics are discussed during the training among topics are study skills, management of feelings, communication skills, building self -esteem decision making and healthy life style. With vocational skills we intent to incorporate the current world market needs including catering, tailoring, carpentry and computer skills so they make own self-employment. We conduct training twice a year when both in and out of adolescents are on holidays during December and June long vocations.



We work with grassroot young mothers who formed two self -help groups of 20 women each group comprise of ten young mothers. We have banana and cassava plantations also green vegetables which help to earn a living by selling and some improve nutrition meal for daycare children and for family live hood.
We intent to train ourselves into business skills in generating income through more activities such as animal husbandry, fishing, batik, liquid soap and food processing and candle making.

Most of parents attending trainings are those who have missed their own education which have an impact of the quality of parents that have in children. Most of them are not above 24 years of age who experienced early marriages through bride price to earn a living for their families and gave birth at adolescent age. We train them on positive parenting on child grow, the importance of breast feeding, vaccination, family planning, nutrition and balanced meal, sanitation, prevention of diseases such as malaria and HIV/AIDS among other topics.

Train counselors and parents for elimination violence against children and women. Most causes of Gender Based Violence are poverty, lack of access to food and water and disrupted families in our communities. We have Gender based educational programs once after every six months discussing issues like girls’ education, male involvement, working with formal legal system and community support system and on diverse humanitarian sector such as health, water and sanitation, education, economic empowerment and other live hood programs.
